I studied Music and Photography. I really like black and white, conventional photography, and miss the old days in the darkroom, the strong, toxic smell of developer and fixer, and the anticipation before the images materialize from the white sheet of photo paper.
I had a fantastic, old fashioned teacher that did not allow the use of flash or artificial lighting in photography, and would force us to deal with existing light conditions, and compensate later in the darkroom. What a great time of my life!
I also love digital photography and Photoshop, but still feel that a great classic image from Henri Cartier-Bresson, or from Ansel Adams is a miracle.
